I have purchased a new computer. Can I transfer the license?
GamBlock® licenses are per computer; however, we want to help people who are genuinely not using their previous computer. GamBlock® customers who have purchased a license greater than one year can request a license transfer once only during a license period one year after purchase.
Previously, an inordinate amount of GamBlock® Personal and GamBlock® Small Business customers requested a license transfer (particularly within a short time after purchasing GamBlock®). Our systems or the customer later disclosed to us that a license was breached by installation on more computers or mobile devices than authorized within the license agreement.
GamBlock® Personal and GamBlock® Small Business customers who have purchased a one year license only, must purchase GamBlock® again.
When a request is made to transfer a GamBlock® license, we assume that we are communicating with a problem gambler, until a Certified Problem Gambling Counselor informs us otherwise. We do make exceptions where a Certified Problem Gambling Counsellor informs us that a customer is genuinely not using their previous computer.
